Statement of Faith

We are members of the Evangelical Alliance and subscribe to their Statement of Faith. We also teach the core beliefs of The Apostolic Church UK
described below.

NB: We are not part of the Oneness Pentecostal Movement. We teach an Evangelical and Orthodox view of the trinity.

  1. The one true and living God who eternally exists in three persons in unity: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

We believe in One God who has existed throughout time as the Trinity. The three persons of the trinity are: The Father, The Son (Jesus) and The Holy Spirit. There has never been a point in time when they have not co-existed.

  2. The inherent corruptness of man through the Fall; The necessity of repentance and regeneration by grace and through faith in Christ alone and the eternal separation from God of the finally unrepentant.

We believe that all human beings, fall short of the standard God expects. We believe that it is important to ask God for forgiveness for everything we've done wrong. After we die, we'll be judged according to whether God has forgiven us or not.

  3. The Virgin birth, sinless life, atoning death, triumphant resurrection, ascension and continuing intercession of our Lord Jesus Christ; His second coming and millennial reign
    upon earth.

We believe that Jesus is God; that He was born supernaturally; and that his death made it possible for us to be forgiven. Jesus rose from the dead and went up to heaven. One day, He will return to the earth and will rule on it.

  4. The Justification and sanctification of believers through the finished work of Christ.

We believe that we can be completely forgiven so that God no longer sees all the things we have done wrong. We are forgiven because of Jesus. God works in the Christian to change them, making them more like himself.

  5. The baptism of the Holy spirit for believers with supernatural signs, empowering the church for its mission in the world.

We believe that God gives the Holy Spirit to Christians and that it should be obvious to those around them that they are now different.

  6. The gifts of the Holy Spirit for the building up of the Church and ministry to the world.

We believe that the Holy Spirit makes available special supernatural abilities. Theses abilities are available to Christians to help the church.

  7. The Sacraments of Baptism by immersion and of the
    Lord's Supper.

We believe that Christians should get baptized (we practice full immersion in the name of The Father, Son and Holy Spirit) and that as Christians we should meet together regularly for communion. We do not believe these things are essential for someone to be a Christian, since only one thing is required: Faith in Jesus.

  8. The divine inspiration and authority of the Holy Scriptures.

We believe that the bible is inspired by God and that it is true. Everything the church teaches and every prophecy we give should not contradict it.

  9. Christ's leadership of the Church through apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, teachers, elders and deacons, for unity, maturity and growth of the church.

We believe that God has given special leadership abilities to people in the church. The abilities are to equip Christians so they can be effective and also to direct the church.

  10. The security of the believer as he remains in Christ.

We believe that it is possible to stop being a Christian (after becoming one) and lose out on the forgiveness that God gives. We believe that it is possible for Christian to feel assured of God's forgiveness as long as we have a real relationship with him.

  11. The privilege and responsibility of bringing tithes and offerings to the Lord.

We believe that it is joy to give to God and also our responsibility. No-one will check-up on members and investigate whether they are giving or not; it's our own responsibility before God.
