What we do
Unltd (or 'Unlimited' for the old folk...) is the new name for our vibrant youth ministry at The Christian Centre, Middlesbrough. The key mission of Unltd is to provide encouragement and support to young people on their Christian journey. Additionally, we want to encourage young people to remain unlimited in their thinking, enthusiasm and passion, in spite of many of the outside pressures they often face.
We aim to develop and support each other by meeting together on a Sunday morning, as well building positive relationships through various social activities.
The main time of meeting together is a Sunday morning. We currently meet at the normal adult meeting time of 10:30am and run a small group from 11.00am. During this time we have some fun, tea and coffee and the odd biscuit or donut! There is also a time of teaching and discussion which is based on the ways in which Bible can impact and transform our lives, as young people.
The youth co-ordinator is Marc Howells and he is assisted by Charlotte Smith. They took over responsibility for the youth work in October 2009 and together, they are committed to supporting and developing young people and helping them to realise their potential in God. Although, Marc and Charlotte oversee the youth work, there is a shared vision which therefore encourages some of the young people to take responsibility for particular aspects of the programme.
In the near future we hope to be organising more social activities and events ... watch this space.
